DD Direct Plus
DD Direct Plus to grow up to 200 channels by 2012
In a move to add more channels to its DTH platform Direct Plus, DoorDarshan will soon be adding 143 more channels to existing bow of 57 Free-to Air channels by the end of year 2012. The whole idea is divided in two significant phases. The first phase by the end of 2010, Direct Plus is about to include 100 channels, whereas in second phase the total number is expected to reach 200.
“We have an overwhelming response from private channels to get on to the DD Direct Plus platform. Even some of the pay channels are willing to go free,” said Ms Aruna Sharma, Director-General, Doordarshan.
“There’s a waitlist of 74 private channels seeking an entry to the DD Direct platform,” Ms Sharma said without disclosing their names. Some of the private channels such as Zee Smile, B4U Music and 9X are already on the DD Direct platform.

Dear sir please add a Rajasthani channel in DD DIRECt PLUS who shows Rajasthani Programme (Rajasthani Music,Rajasthani Movies,Rajasthani serials etc.) We realey missing this channel.

It is highly disappointing that though other language channels are running plenty on dd direct plus network, only one kannada channel is running from beginning of this service. I dont understand why the step mother treatement is given to kannada language. I aspire at least now this defect is redressed. Thanking you.

Totally Goofed up , Shame for DTH DDDirect+ , Not maintaining commitment, of Adding 200 Video Channels + Audio channels , May be They will Transmit photos of Railway stations in Each City of India like Train Arrivial and depature boards , Whether forecast , There in All channel sare filled in , For this TARI Should take strict action that DDDirect plus channels should be Free in any STB used. The money goes out of india for channels, Shame for poor governence. Also We try to get several customers in Support of DD+ but we are shame to say to have DD+ STB or FTA STB. [ Migrating to C-BAnd by consumers costs may be affordable ] We need KU band with More Channels equally used by all region people of India , Kindly Add All Value add channels like Discovery , Geography , Kids channels , BBC , and Several news Channels with English based. , Or Enable flexiblity to select respective Add-on Channels BEyond 200 channel list Rs.5 per year for each specfic channels. We need to have FTA channels more in India to save Indian economy.
When we say we are initiating a step towards green initiative , Several FTA STB Thrown out of Inda wlll become garbage , Also Several STB are supplied from outside India. A lot more to say for Green initiave , There in when DD+ is going to launch remaining channels , Expect to update with in fortnight.
I have promoted several consumers around 150+ houses to use FTA STB , I have installed them , Now If There drop out of channels , Not Only I am instulted there in My service to customers which are free of cost Installation and I loose wrapover from my consumers. I have helped serveral low income people to use FTB. Thier investmetn on STB goes in Vain.
Also witout any Delay TARI should do need strict update to benifit consumers.
Mean Every Private DTH service provider should Transmit minimum 20% of thier Signals as FTA , Apart from Present DD+ Signals also to be sent Free of cost to consumers. [ MEans Every operators like Videocon , Airtel, Reliance , Tata , Sun , Dish , each one should releast atleast 10 channels Apart from DD+ FTA channels free of cost ] Any how we need NAtonal , International News , eduational , Sports channels , Entertainment channels Free service in DD direct+ or with simple cost Rs.5 per channel per year , To entertain or as bribe money for DD Direct+ board of team from consumers.
I know 2o11 December go up dd ples 2oo channel but raning 2o12.why not add this channel.
