DD Direct Plus
DD Direct Plus to grow up to 200 channels by 2012
In a move to add more channels to its DTH platform Direct Plus, DoorDarshan will soon be adding 143 more channels to existing bow of 57 Free-to Air channels by the end of year 2012. The whole idea is divided in two significant phases. The first phase by the end of 2010, Direct Plus is about to include 100 channels, whereas in second phase the total number is expected to reach 200.
“We have an overwhelming response from private channels to get on to the DD Direct Plus platform. Even some of the pay channels are willing to go free,” said Ms Aruna Sharma, Director-General, Doordarshan.
“There’s a waitlist of 74 private channels seeking an entry to the DD Direct platform,” Ms Sharma said without disclosing their names. Some of the private channels such as Zee Smile, B4U Music and 9X are already on the DD Direct platform.

Sir ,there is no telugu channels on dd direct plus except dd channel. we are requesting to add telugu channels at least two.
you should add some paid channels also. this will increase your popularity and will also bring competition in the market

Please add more FTA Bengali channels. Because now DD Direct Plus lacks the Bengali channels.

Till date 100 channels are not available which was to be available by end 2010 as promised by Ambika sony’s department. They are dreaming for 200 channels by end of 2012. Ministers are most of the time by practice give us wrong information or purposefully give dreamy picture. I hope there should be end to misguide Indian citizens.
