DD Direct Plus to grow up to 200 channels by 2012
In a move to add more channels to its DTH platform Direct Plus, DoorDarshan will soon be adding 143 more channels to existing bow of 57 Free-to Air channels by the end of year 2012. The whole idea is divided in two significant phases. The first phase by the end of 2010, Direct Plus is about to include 100 channels, whereas in second phase the total number is expected to reach 200.
“We have an overwhelming response from private channels to get on to the DD Direct Plus platform. Even some of the pay channels are willing to go free,” said Ms Aruna Sharma, Director-General, Doordarshan.
“There’s a waitlist of 74 private channels seeking an entry to the DD Direct platform,” Ms Sharma said without disclosing their names. Some of the private channels such as Zee Smile, B4U Music and 9X are already on the DD Direct platform.

do u know all d2h provider like(airtel,reliance) pay money to minister not to add more channels because it affects on their custmers.
Sir please add more Hindi movie, music and discoveri channels
when start more 200 channels please declare the final date.
